Thank you for providing these details (especially since the Detroit Free Press and News have done nothing)! It would be great if you had further detals - my family is looking forward to coming down and celebrating the day!

Yes, I've been trying to get a complete schedule of perfomers and performances. I post what I can when I get the information, using mostly photos I took in Clark Park at last year's Cinco de Mayo Fiesta.

It really is a great event that celebrates a wonderful culture.

And you're right about the newspapers. I created a blog over Free.com just to be able to upload some of this information. It is my hope that the Free Press and Detroit News come down and take some photos of our kids dancing, of the handiwork of our Mexican crafters, the creativity that is found in the parade, of the great musicians we have in Salvador Torres and Frank Solano. . . Yes, the Mexican Community of the Greater Detroit Area really does a lot to make this world a better place!

Be sure to look for me at the fiesta. . . just ask around for "Rubi, the Rosary Lady!"
